Are there any English words that don't have synonyms?
Synonyms are words with similar meanings. English has a vast array of words, but surprisingly, not all of them have synonyms. There are some English words with unique meanings that cannot be replaced with another word. Examples of such words include 'apropos', 'mellifluous', 'misanthrope', and 'epiphany'. These words are often used to describe emotions or ideas that cannot be expressed with other words. While these words may have similar words in other languages, there are no exact English synonyms for them. As such, they are unique to the English language.
